Keyboard Stickers for ASUS VivoBook: Find Your Model and Get a Perfect Fit
The ASUS VivoBook is one of the most popular laptop ranges, sold in 14, 15 and 16 inch sizes and renewed almost every year. From a distance the keyboards look alike, but key sizes, the right side of the keyboard and the power key change from one model to another. That is why keyboard stickers for a VivoBook start from the model code, not from the name printed on the lid.
Where to find your VivoBook model code
- On the label under the laptop. Look for a code made of letters and numbers, for example X1504VA or M1502YA.
- In Windows. Open the Start menu, type System Information and read the System Model line.
- In the MyASUS app, which shows the model name in its system information.
- Still unsure? Send us a clear photo of the keyboard taken from above.
The marketing name, like VivoBook 15, covers many different models over the years. The code identifies the exact one.
What makes VivoBook keyboards different
| Detail | What to check | Sticker tip |
|---|---|---|
| Fingerprint power key | On many VivoBook models the power key, top right, is also a fingerprint reader | Leave this key uncovered so the reader keeps working |
| Numeric keypad | Common on 15 and 16 inch models, rare on 14 inch ones | More stickers and a different right side |
| NumberPad | Some models light up a number pad inside the touchpad | Nothing to cover: the touchpad stays as it is |
| Copilot key | Newer models, from 2024 onward | Changes the bottom row |
| Layout | US, UK, Italian, French, Spanish and more | Changes the shape of Enter and left Shift |
VivoBook 14, 15 and 16 at a glance
- VivoBook 14: compact keyboard, usually without a numeric keypad. Fewer, slightly larger tiles for your image.
- VivoBook 15: the most common size, often with a numeric keypad.
- VivoBook 16: a wider deck, usually with a numeric keypad.
- VivoBook S and Pro: slimmer designs, often backlit. With stickers on, the backlight shows as a glow around each key, as explained in our backlit keyboard stickers guide.
Choosing an image for a VivoBook
- Plan around the body color. VivoBooks come in silver, blue, black and brighter colors. The frame around the keys stays visible, so choose an image that looks good next to it.
- Bold shapes win. Keys are separate tiles, so large faces and strong colors read better than fine details.
- The letters get covered, which suits people who type without looking.
- Send the original file in the highest resolution you have.
- Use images you have the right to use.
Finishes
- Classic vinyl: sharp, vivid print with a scratch and water resistant surface.
- Holographic upgrade: a laminate that adds a moving light effect on top of the print. It comes in four styles: broken glass, rainbow, stars and glitter.
Applying the stickers
- Shut the laptop down and clean the keys with a slightly damp cloth, then let them dry.
- Start from the top left and work row by row.
- Center each sticker on its key and press from the middle out.
- Skip the fingerprint power key.
- Press all edges again at the end.
Choose in this order
- Find the model code on the label or in System Information.
- Check your layout.
- Note the numeric keypad and the fingerprint power key.
- Pick an image that suits your VivoBook's color.
- Choose classic or holographic finish and send model, layout and image together.
