BIC Lighter Wrap Dimensions and Free Template (Maxi and Mini)
To design a BIC lighter wrap you need two numbers: how far it is around the body and how tall the body is below the metal hood. Below you will find BIC's official lighter sizes, the approximate wrap area for the two most common models and a free template you can open in any design app.
Official BIC lighter sizes
| Model | Also called | Height | Width | Depth |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| J26 | Maxi, classic | 82 mm | 25 mm | 15 mm |
| J25 | Mini | 62 mm | 22 mm | 11 mm |
Sizes from BIC's own product pages. The height includes the metal hood and the wheel, which a wrap never covers.
Approximate wrap area
| Model | Around the body | Wrap height | With 3 mm bleed | Pixels at 300 dpi |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Maxi J26 | about 65 mm | about 63 mm | 71 x 69 mm | about 840 x 815 px |
| Mini J25 | about 54 mm | about 47 mm | 60 x 53 mm | about 710 x 625 px |
These are design sizes, not exact cutting sizes: lighters from different factories can vary a little, so measure yours before you cut.
How to measure your own lighter
- Wrap a thin strip of paper around the widest part of the body and mark where it meets: that is the distance around.
- Measure the body from just below the metal hood to where the bottom starts to curve.
- Take off 2 to 3 mm at the top, so the wrap stays clear of the hood and the flame.
- Put the seam on the back, so the front shows one clean image.

The template shows the Maxi and Mini wraps at real size, with bleed, a safe area for faces and text, and the front zone that people see most. It is an SVG file, so it opens at the correct size in Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity Designer and Canva.

- Place your image under the template and stretch it to the outer bleed line.
- Keep faces and text inside the dashed safe area.
- Put the main subject in the yellow front zone.
- Print at 100% scale, never "fit to page", and test a paper copy around your lighter first.
Design tips for a lighter wrap
- The body is curved, so text near the sides bends out of view.
- The wrap is small: a face should fill most of the front zone.
- Use a sharp file. Aim for the pixel sizes in the table above or more.
- Leave the hood, the wheel and the button completely free.
- Use images you have the right to use, like your photos or your own art.
Safety first
A wrap is decorative. Keep it 2 to 3 mm below the metal hood, never let it cover the wheel, the button or the flame area, and do not wrap a lighter that is damaged or leaking.
Prefer a ready-made wrap?
If you would rather skip measuring and printing, our custom BIC lighter wraps come in two sizes, Small and Big, printed from your photo on thin vinyl with a scratch and water resistant surface. An optional holographic laminate adds a moving light effect, in four styles: broken glass, rainbow, stars and glitter.
